Hi, I’m Kimberley. Or Kim, Mom, Mama, Design Diva, Mommy Diva, Crazy and sometimes “bitch” when my husband isn’t feeling especially fond of me. I’ll usually respond to any of them depending on the day and what kind of mood I’m in, so take your pick. I am a mother to 5 children that I gave birth to and to 2 children that I am a step parent to. Despite all of these offspring, you would think that I would have parenting down to a science but to be honest, I’m still searching for that HANDBOOK I thought they handed out in the maternity ward. Boy was I mislead!
I have been married twice and I am happy to say that I finally got it right the second time around – marriage, that is. My husband and I have a love/hate relationship but I wouldn’t trade him for anyone – we stumble through the ups and downs of married life but we do it together and we do it holding hands – what more could I ask for?
I am and always have been a City Girl, well until I became a City Mom, but still I had my feet firmly planted in the Concrete Jungle. I never really had much use for the country other than enjoying the odd trip to the beach or to visit family who are freckled across suburban Ontario, but never more than a couple hours drive from the city. I liked it this way. I could enjoy the beautiful scenery, fresh air and multitude of insects in small doses and then come back to what I knew and loved: traffic jams, pushing and shoving, a Tim Horton’s on every corner, and a large array of retail stores no more than a stones throw away. This is the story of me and my family, or rather many short stories of how this City Girl and her family, packed up and moved to another planet….3,2,1 BLASTOFF!!
