I have 5 kids. I’ve experienced tantrums from each and every one of my little “angels” because ALL kids have tantrums.
I have to be honest with you – I never had the patience to handle tantrums and so I dealt with them by walking away. In my mind, they wanted attention and to give them attention was to prolong the screaming fest. THIS WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
It doesn’t make it the RIGHT WAY to handle these situations but it was how I chose to deal with them because I knew of no better way. Maybe if I had been given some alternative ways, all of those abandoned shopping carts in Zehrs wouldn’t have been left in the middle of the store.
Here is a post called Stop Temper Tantrums in their Tracks by Crystal at Growing a Jeweled Rose that gives some really great ways to meet a TANTRUM head on and stop it in it’s tracks. When you are wondering how to stop temper tantrums in their tracks, this post will give you the much needed answers.
